Maunday Thursday Poem by Fran Spear

Maunday Thursday

Learn the count, and learn to play
where 6pm starts a day
Maundy Thursday is its' name
remember the count, remember to play

He can't be left upon the planks
of the cross when Passover hangs
instead!
Upon the lintels of the mind
The
chant began so
Learn the count, and learn to play
where 6pm starts a day

Day 2 dawns, comes into the mind
when
Friday eve is 6pm
call it whatever you want
Learn the count, and learn to play
where 6pm starts a day

Day 3 dawns, splitting
atoms, forever sunshine
begins when
Saturday eve is 6pm
and lingers true on!
A day star never to set -

Learn the count, and learn to play
where 6pm starts a Sunday
wherever you are, wherever you play

across the eons
forever when
you learn the count, and learn to play
