Maybe Tomorrow Poem by Randy McClave

Maybe Tomorrow

One day, you are going to hug your last hug
Given to you by your true love,
Then you will kiss your very last kiss
Knowing that touch and feeling you'll forever miss.
Then you'll hear that someone's voice for the last time
Soon it'll be taken away like a tragic crime,
But, you'll never know when the last time will be
Tomorrow, maybe.
What if though if that last hug you were going to hug
What if instead it was just a shrug,
And what if that very last kiss you received
Was just deceived.
And what if the last voice you were going to hear
Was given without sadness or a tear,
And then from them you felt or saw no sadness or sorrow
What if now, you were happy to leave tomorrow.
One day God and only he knows just when
He will bring you home from where you had been,
That last hug and kiss that you were given
Will only now be remembered by the liven.
The next voice that you will hear
Will bring you joy and happiness and unfathomed cheer,
And even If that last goodbye was not really meant
The new hellos will be Godly sent.
