Me By Myself Poem by courtney sauls

Me By Myself

I'm alone in a world,
Filled with violence and hate.
They say I'm lucky to be living
I think other wise.
People homeless,
Children hungry
Who wants to live like this?
But while I'm alive,
I'm not going to waste it
I speak my mind,
and say what I have to say,
I stand my ground and show no fear,
I follow my heart,
And don't look for others support,
I don't look for love or compassion from anyone,
Because in the end you have only yourself,
Yeah, theirs all those family and friends,
But once they taste famous or money,
They forget your name,
And criticize everything you say,
You have to live your own life,
Because nobody's going to feel your pain,
Do what you want to do,
And live life for you.
