Mean-Minded Persons Who Do Not Enjoy Their Wealth!
The enormous wealth of the unconvinced,
Mean-minded persons who do not enjoy their wealth
and who do not offer to help the suitable persons
is enjoyed by others;
As if the beautiful young girls born in his family
are enjoyed by the members of the other family
in the due course in marriage!

பலவிகற்ப இன்னிசை வெண்பா
கொடுத்தலுந் துய்த்தலுந் தேற்றா இடுக்குடை
உள்ளத்தான் பெற்ற பெருஞ்செல்வம் இல்லத்(து)
உருவுடைக் கன்னியரைப் போலப் பருவத்தால்
ஏதிலான் துய்க்கப் படும்.274 ஈயாமை, நாலடியார்
