With a hint and a smile, is how I left
Never intended, never even said.
With the voices of the Angels caressing my soul
I sang the songs of a thousand doves just for us.

As I stepped away, I never thought it to be
As the sun warmed my face, the thought never came to me
As I hugged and kissed you all, it to be for love not goodbyes
As God lead me thru the day, He knew I was His for the keeping

A second was all it took, to leave, to be eternally free
Days, months, years all swept away by the calling of my name
As He reached for my soul, I grabbed His hand not in fear
This was my salvation, my time, never to be forsaken

Today, I never said Goodbye, but meant to
Today, I never said I love you, but I did.
Today, I never thought of leaving, but God knew I would
Today I met my Savior, be calm, be free only for ME.
