Memento Poem by Cory Fox

Memento

'Another tear drop, I regret
Fathoms the pain this heart can take'
Are you so eager to forget
Mountains have moved in your wake?

If one day our paths should part
Lift your eyes from the dreary ground
Your doubts cast away from your heart
For what once was lost you have found

On the day you just can't stand
Remember what our friends are for;
Every prayer to shelter you and
Vacant glances fall no more

Every hour I've shared with you
Restores my faith you'll make it through
