Memoirs Of A Former Child

Rating: 5.0

Memoirs of a former child
often drive an adult wild;
tales of strangers whom they've jilted,
snows of yesteryear that melted,
names of those they wish they'd kissed,
storytellers' usual grist,
anecdotage, childish chaff.
Patient adults have to laugh.

when I go to new poems on poemhunter, I start with page 1 (inevitably) , then to page 5, on to 17 and finally 37, because of my birthday,5-17-37 and I found this poem on page 37 that takes me back to my childhood days - so Gershon could be listening to my memoirs.17 is my favourire number and i played it to the hilt in my novel, Forever Chimes. So, Gershon, you have a bit of my memoirs here and you've been patient so you get my childhood 10.
