Memories Poem by Kalee Skriver

Memories

Bare feet upon newly grown moss.
Running, sprinting through a forest of memories and dreams.
Across the plane of the human mind,
there is a dimension of nostalgia linked to our hopes and desires.
Without a certain bias towards the familiar,
we would not have a foundation to climb even higher.
Never regret the past,
for the day that you feel you are running on empty,
is the day that your history shall allow you to last.
Learn from your mistakes,
keep note of where not to tread again.
