Memories Shall Dance Poem by Angel Teukie Teukie

Memories Shall Dance

As I look down at the sea,
I feel as if the green-blue water knows all I've been through.
The pain, the sorrow, the regret...
The darkness of my life.

Suddenly,
the sound of music reachs my ears and the sea begins to dance.
It dances like a beautiful gipsy around the bonfire,
like a snow white swan who spreads
it's wings and flies over the cool calm water.

As I look down at the blue crystal blanket,
I ask:
'How do you stay so calm and magical?
How can you dance in such a graceful form? '

It answers.
The blue and white waves dance to an invisable sound of music,
that does not reach the human ears.

It says:
'I dance for you. For your memories.'
'My memories? What memories? ',
I ask.

'Those that have good and happiness in them.
Forget the sad memories',
The powerful sea says as it washes over the tips of my toes...

'Forget them, and sail away with me...'

And so I did.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I sailed once across the sea, and the water looked so peaceful and beautiful, I just took a pen and paper and wrote this poem.
