War With Fear Poem by Angel Teukie Teukie

War With Fear

Dearest fear,
please let me be,
please don't eat me.

You raped my soul,
you shocked my body,
now let me go, set me free.
You have no use for me.

Take your claws off my fast
beating heart.
Take your teeth out of my flesh.

Old nightmares have been excavated
out into the cold.

Be gone and let this pain
fade away into the lonely
shadows of my past.

Dearest fear,
Haven't you had enough?
Please let me sleep.
Please let me sew what you ripped.

You had your fun,
I couldn't run,
so now please, be gone.

Devoid of emotion I am left,
cold, tired, dead.

Dearest fear, Dearest friend,
you shall not conquer.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I tried once to suicide and I used to cut myself, and I was afraid that it will happen again because of all the pressure I had.
Fear for me is a friend that can go over the edge and harm you badly if you do not control him.
