Memories With You...'...' Poem by Marion Souma

Memories With You...'...'

I've stood staring into your eyes,
Countless times.
Absorbed every moment of you,
Studied every curve, every expression,
Seen every little shade of blue in your eyes,
It's my silent confession, repeated within until worn through.
That look from you - all too soon forgotten,
That feeling within, feeling it all as your embrace brushed on my skin.
I'm still there, frozen - a single second in time,
The second u forced me to turn, to walk into my darkness - smothering my shine -
Stuck in a single second - frozen still.
Months and months and days and eternity visiting me,
Foreign - your smile, your embrace, your energy, your presence - your voice...
Yet- clearer and more well known to me than the second I first heard you say hi...
You haunt me, a reality in my frozen stature,
My thoughts on your face, my ears hearing your voice and my eyes seeing your face...
Does a single thought of me ever brush the furthest part of your thoughts..? Do u? ?
Do u ever wonder about me, where I am, if I'm okay? ?
Endless nights I stare into darkness, and see your face in every small ray of light dissecting through each small space from all over, and all I do is wish it true. Wish forever it stayed.
I ask into endlessness - knowing my answer is inevitably disappeared...
Yet I wonder, I feel, I ask, I listen, I smile at a single thought, memory, I look for you in each bit of light - behind each shadow, each night.
Treated no better by the sun filled days, as your voice cuts through my soul - inevitably leaving a warm broken smile with tears...
Pulling me out from darkness, up onto my feet, a boost to get me moving -
Yet dropping me into the deepest part of me,
Drowning in the history imprinted in my soul, the deepest part of my myself,
Into everlasting moments,
Into still memories with you.
