Mental Confusion Poem by Dorsey Baker

Mental Confusion

Its like a heavyweight
trying to
overpower your
mental state
around your throat
the greedy hands of fate

The heart
seems
to be flooded
with too much pain
salty tears
roll out
from where
your eyes used to be

its a dark place
at the bottom of the well
but you will survive
because
you have
learned how to swim

with the strength
of your spirit
you will
find the courage
to escape!
