Mesmerizing Baby Blues Poem by gina layog

Mesmerizing Baby Blues

Aqua Azure eyes, windows of your soul, baby blues that follow me like glue, Steely blues piercing through this armoured cloak, burning through this hollow wasteland of my heart,
I search your truth, or is this a game you prey, in a cruel way?
A picture of you in your younger days, dances before my eyes,
this you showed me one night, Brilliant blues bright alive with innocence
carefree as daylight,
Reflecting of those picture perfect summer skies, not a cloud in sight,
Fresh immaculate face, untouched by cares or woes,
translucent clarity, Your blessed smile beaming of the promises that the future holds, has:
Seldom seen the hurricane, nor touch emptiness, nor felt loneliness,
The years advanced, time races on, every thing happens by chance
NOW, your face stays before me, tired, with a far away look,
As if you've rather forget the past and has crawled through every
cranny and nook, faded dull blues that have bore their share of ache and tears, devour their angelic azure hue, in it reign cynicsm, sullied by skepticism, disillusioned, cancered by lies, cancelled the promise of youth, subdue by the loss, something died inside,
reflecting in your torn grey blues, you're fractured, fragmented, broken,
charred and spent,
Nobody knew what you hid behind those covert midnight blues,
I want to chase those blues away, and return them to their crystal clarity
Bring back the warmth into those artic blues, help you embrace and ease this pain, gather you in my arms and hold you close, console comfort and give solace,
Heal and make you whole, that one day, those baby blues may look up
and shine, and reflect those picture perfect summer skies, without a cloud in sight....
