Message of peace

What have I to give to world?
As people are selfish and cold
I too was part and one of them
Simple plant had come up from the stem root

But I have breathed differently
It was made known instantly
I could speak on somebody’s behalf
But that could have been little half

There is nothing new
This can be gift to few
Who may excel different way?
They may slowly drift away

They may be considered weak
Not capable or unable to speak
From inner strength, they are powerful
No sorrow but there is happiness in full

I have voice of my own
Music too has to be blown
That may be liked and shared
But it has to be aired

I have one word to be spread
Before I go silent or declared dead
The message must be well read
Taken as piece or slice of bread

It must convert food into blood
Must run in veins as converts from food
It must show the impact of real love
Message of peace for all to believe

With lots of fighting in different parts of the world, any message of peace is truly reassuring. Thanks for this well-crafted piece. By the way, I am sorry it took me more than three years to visit your site. Truth is I have been busy with work and I forgot about PoemHunter and the talented poets in here. (Report) Reply
