Michael Sean Price Poem by Anna Rheana Machin

Michael Sean Price

Sitting here by myself I realized,
I didn't know you but I loved you anyway.
I spent time thinking of a future with you,
But I learned I wasn't ready for that.
I was scared and afraid to say I do.

I thought that we were in love,
But learned it was only lust.
Nothing seemed to work out
And all we had was lost.
No matter what I did or said,
Everything we had was dead.

Now I realized I was only fooling myself,
No matter what I did, it didn't help.
And no matter how hard I tried,
I couldn't love you like you desired.
