Middle Class Poem by krishna kumar

Middle Class

Our husbands work for the full day and a little spend their times over the T.V
Our house wives calculate the daily expense and prepare a budget
Our oldies advise and help in cooking or bringing up the children
Our kids don't call maid as a mother
Our children were the toppers in the class
Our juveniles hug their mother and not a teddy bear while they sleep
We buy new clothes only during the festivals
We go to a movie once in a week
Marriages of our relations mean the picnic to us
Sometimes we quarrel with our neighbours
The next day we would be friends as before
We sleep contended everyday with a little money remaining for the next day
We would be surrounded by affections of the relations and not merely by the walls
We were nothing but the people of middle class and like the rich
We don't need to do yoga to limit our tensions
We don't need dieticians to monitor our health
We don't need to worry about the income tax or bankrupt
We don't need to live a fake life for the prestige and for the stature of others
Like a lamp and chimney giving the same light
Our life is no less than the life you (rich) live…
