Midnight Blueberries Poem by Linda Hepner

Midnight Blueberries

Rating: 4.4

Midnight blueberries
are how I think of you
and when, and what

and then I think of where
you are, in darkness
next to me, both sweet
and tart.

I love the way that one image of deliciousness folds over into quite another.

This is lovely; the 'figure' of darkness, the one 'next to me' & the blueberry combine with subtely, power & grace. An impressive poem.
