Milestone Poem by Perry Biggerstaff

Milestone

Rating: 5.0

When you go..The day you go..
And we should say goodbye,
I'll sooth the hurt with memories.
(But still take time to cry) .
I'll think of times I held you,
And you sleeping in my arms.
I sang to you so gently,
While bathing in the charms
of little eyes..A little nose,
And wishing time stood still,
I loved being your daddy,
God knows, I always will.
Life may lose its full completeness,
Not for you, but surely me.
But the joy and all the sweetness,
Are held in memory.

Perry, this is lovely. We parents surely don't realize how our lives will become captive for the rest of our time on earth to these sweet little faces with their cute little noses no matter how grown up they become. A tender tender poem, my friend.
