Milking A Piece Of Stone Poem by Farhan Ishraq

Milking A Piece Of Stone

It was moonlight. And my thirst was

overflowing, like a venomous serpent

I was still alive with a bite of hope

milking a piece of stone

towards my mouth!

A field of corn was bleeding nearby

with the ripeness of a fragrant fruit

Not a single star from their height

nodded to say, excuse all this delay

of a second, rolling down to relieve!

Not a yellow leaf above, yet to drop

did dazzle in the wink of an eye!

A phantom cow suddenly

approached slow

She just let me suck her breast

and die in the dark of another glow!
