Mind Games... Poem by emma mcdougal

Mind Games...

You live in my mind
But not in my heart
I try to live
But can't if we're apart
You force me to the side
When you play your cruel game
You take my identity
So I get blamed

When you find your next victem
For the game we play
You lock me in my cell
So I can't run away
Although you're a part of me
And need you to survive
I'd rather kill us both
Than keep living a lie

So I scream and cry
Because no-one will want me
For the things you do
Excludes me from sanity
Suppressing you is the answer
If I cannot kill you
But as sad as it is
I know I will miss you

Because allthough you bring me dark
You also bring me light
Your games provide me happiness
And company at night
You unleash my confidence
So I can feel love
You easily make us friends
To make life less tough

But this is you're notice
To jump in YOU'RE cell
Never come back
And don't try to rebel
For you my demon
Have lost this war
I have locked you out
And don't need you anymore...
