Mine, All Of Mine Poem by James Darwin Smith II

Mine, All Of Mine

Words contrived
Manufactured by the blind
Saying a sweet sweet everything
Towards glaring nefarious eyes
Ready to destroy good intentions,
A junky hell-bent on demise

So many words used
All in the dialect of deceit
Preying on the dreams of others
Those who gave everything
And beyond what they have had given within

Sunken hearts drowning in denial
Descending downward
Into the deepest regions of desertion
Stuck amongst the wreckage
A barren graveyard of nothingness, Helpless excursions

Departed caring hearts
Giving life to unstable devotion
Uninhabitable situations
Leaving voids where they should have never been
In a whirlwind of utter seclusion

Such a mess in distress
An event set on repeat
A residual of unclear motives
Typical within marginal collisions

Faint soul out of focus
Nowhere to roam
Stuck inside its never ending cycle
Haunted destination
Self-deluded emotions

The contrived are mental Vampires
Sucking all of the loyal energy away
Efforts buried in coffins
Nailed shut with agonizing pain

The higher ground surroundings
Worship audacious lies
Laws of privy self-indulgence
Art by the slime of staining disparity
By the greed of gilding worship
The parables of a narcissistically inclined design
Forcing simplicity to the currency of time

The unseen are earnest
Dedicated with tender eyes
Visions for those in need
Blinded by the destruction of torment's oblique disguise

Where am I?
Never in typical fleshly faced fashion

Would rather be thrown away
Than to be recycled
By a world where love is blind

Here I am
Drenched in enigmatic pride
Boasting these flaws diligently
The black cloud hovering above
Looking outward
Towards the sun that shines
In the direction of a liars most sacred divine

The storm is here
And I laugh with thunderous applause
You cannot fix what is proudly broken
Glued together in shattered dreams demise

I love who I am
Don't hate on me for being full of surprises!

I am in fact all of mine!
