Minerva Poem by Vazgen Ghazaryan

Minerva

Transparent eyes reveal her soul,
And all the pain that's trapped inside
Lures my mind into a stroll
Through the memories she'd rather hide.

An endless sea of bitter tears,
A sky through which no light can shine,
This is her world after the years
Of life burning in flames divine.

Creatures with demonic eyes
Stare at me from every shadow,
Immortal like the past she hides
Though with bodies that are hollow.

There are no heroes in this world,
Angels don't roam in her grim sky,
She's trapped inside this cage of gold
While her vessel rides so high.

Confused you may be by her lips
That form a smile that shines so bright,
But those who dared to taste her kiss
Have seen that light fade in the night.
