Mising Grandpa Poem by Kimberly Santistevan

Mising Grandpa

Rating: 1.0

It has been four long years
Since we all last seen your bright smile

I miss those nights when
You and I would stay up
And watch tv all night.

I miss those early mornings
When you would seat across from me.
You would be reading the paper and drinking your coffee.
I would just be eating my cereal.

Throughout the day,
I would be helping you with things here and there.

The evening would come
We would be outside in the summer air.
You and grandma would sit on the porch
And watch us kids play football out in the grass.

We would go inside for dinner.
All of us around a few tables.
Eating, smiling, and laughing.

Clean up then sit and talk.
Getting sleepy and ready for bed.

Tucked me in.
Kissed me on the forehead.
Telling me goodnight and sweet dreams.

Now all I do is dream and miss you.
So see you again grandpa,
Someday.
