Miss As Chance Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Miss As Chance

Rating: 5.0

I opted for military service
As it looked to me with great hope and promises
I was fresh pass out form board examination
Whole life was open with lot many questions

Parents were old and poor
I was teased often from neighbor
So I had decided to go for honorable job
I had inner urge which was almost unstoppable

Parents were not inclined
But I was firm and hastened
To join armed force for the services of motherland
I owed and thought so much of holy land

I am back after completion of service
I was sad over mother’s demise
She was only link in family
I prayed for her peaceful rest to an almighty

The house stands in dilapidated condition
But walls speak with close relation
My childhood is thankful to parental attitude
Nothing is missed from mind and express gratitude

My mother knocks me in sleep
Always reminds me to keep
The house as old remembrance
I don’t want to miss this chance
