Missing Piece... Poem by Annette Aitken

Missing Piece...

Rating: 4.2

Missing Piece

I feel like a jigsaw, with a missing piece,
not sure what the picture is meant to be.
With all my blemishes, my scars,
the lines on my face shows
a road map of my life.
It stares back at me in my reflection.
The need for me to let someone go,
release them from this trapped mind.
To show mercy, too, hold out the hand
of forgiveness, not, to be a dumping ground.
I'll walk through the doors of opportunities

Tell the universe what I need.

This is so good... I like the missing puzzle piece angle to this.... It is amazing how much weight is lifted from your shoulders when you forgive and walk away. Great job

Letting go of the things and people hurting you is very essential in life's progress.Yes unless we forgive we can not grow. The poem very well expresses your positive approach to life.
