Missing Piece Poem by Platini Sagoe

Missing Piece

I yearn for that missing piece
That inner missing peace
In a world that's full of chaos
Where do the calm find peace
When I lost you I found me
Me without you
You fell in place and made me complete
You are my missing piece

You calm my spirit
You know my ways
You'd cry for me
You'd say my prayers
And gleam with pride when I succeed
You are here when you shouldn't
I know I won't find you in another person
That search is futile. This I know

For all the promises I couldn't keep
For all the nights you watched me sleep
For all the 'truths' that weren't true
For all the times I didn't show up
You stood here and embraced the man behind the mask
You are my missing piece
The peace that I desire
