Mom

Mom, you don’t ignore me when I state my problems,
You help me get back up when I’m
Down,
You put this roof over my head,
And you also have kept me plenty fed,
Now that I’m growing up I know how much you do for me,
So all I really want to say is thanks,
Thanks for helping, thanks for the roof over my head,
Oh yes and thank you for keeping me plenty fed,
All I need to do is say it just one more time,
Thank you mom and I will love you for life

poet Helen Hunt Jackson

The month of carnival of all the year,
When Nature lets the wild earth go its way,
And spend whole seasons on a single day.
The spring-time holds her white and purple dear;
