Mon Amant Poem by Julinda Mia

Mon Amant

A chill, the raised dots
on the surface. My beat,
my blood, my spirit. Conjoined.
The back of a hand brushed
down my face, down my
curves to my hand that is squeezed
with the intense passion of 'forever'.
A word on my ear, whispered with
a breath that I just can't bear.
A stream suddenly erupts from a
window of green. A boulder stops
it midway. A move in. Two sets
of two, moving, together for all
history and time. My heart speeds
up with each tick of the
clock. A keystroke in major.
Fingers ran through a lock. Take
a deep breath as your jawline
is pulled up. Taken forever.
