Moonlit Love. Poem by Emily Alice Madden

Moonlit Love.

Me and you, side by side, staring at the stars,
Wondering what could go on, past the earth near mars.
As my hand searches for yours, A shooting star glides past,
I know that this one memory, in our heads will last.
This night was so romantic, full of love and trust,
But soon the night will end, It must.
So as we walk along the street, behind your garden hedge,
Your mother, leaning on the window ledge,
Bellows 'Get in, its late! '
You smile, I smile, this night, sealed within our fate.
