Feelings denied
And thoughts hidden
Roaming in a strange land of diversions,
I once thought to be forbidden

Why do i choose this?
Why can't I let this wound show?
The pain in my past
Is more than you'll ever know

Leave me and don't look back-
I'd be mortified if you did
I will always long to tell you,
But I can't live down what I have always hid

'Why can't you tell me? ' you ask,
As my faults start to show
Well, I think to myself, you'd hate me if I did
I respond, 'It's harder than you know'
