More To Life Poem by Charles Todd

More To Life

Silence as sail boat cuts through water
Burst of activity when tacking
Slap of water against hull
Set anchor, squall approaching

Raitaia, Taha'a, then Bora Bora
Kick back, take watch off
Swim, snorkel and sun
Live in swimsuit

Clear lagoon water, sand white
Palm trees and skies blue
Ancient volcanoes
Tropical paradise

Sound of singing across water
Sunday morning, magical
Otherwise silence, peaceful
Everything slow, in the moment

Realized there could be more
More to my life, meaning
More to my life, real
More to my life, me.
