'Morning Blues' Poem by Alvin Willis

'Morning Blues'

Rating: 5.0

I awake to a darken bliss
With no one around to care less
Nor an inner peace within
That would lift me to an end

My mind lay restless
As my soul searches relentless
Of a soothing peace inside
Waiting frailly to escape outside

I regret fearing everything
And wishing for nothing
I feel hungrily exhausted
And humbly defeated

My tiresome times and trials
Continues like a prisoner awaiting trial
With no one around to care less
As I lay down to a darken bliss
