Morning Grief Poem by Barry Middleton

Morning Grief

Rating: 5.0

the woods are dark and magical
the meadows damp with dew
but still the hills cry emptiness
beneath the awesome blue

for nothing in the wondrous world
is worth a single dime
without a love to share its grace
and mark the passing time

the sun arises in the east
a glow transforms the trees
a tear falls from a trembling leaf
awakened by the breeze

So beautifully written. There's always a morning after darkness. Things look blank n empty often but love colors our life n make it worth living. Awesome imagery. A journey from dark to light depicted well.10 for sure.

Love is all that matters. Without it the beauty in the world means little. Thanks as always.

Nice work, yes indeed..without someone to share it seems that life's beauty is a cause for grief, really good work

Nature's muse, beautifully knitted to a rhythmic poem. Thank you for sharing. X
