Mother Poem by Dominic A. Okoliko

Mother

And it's all about her
she's everything low and high
a sweet shadow under which to rest
The bellow that dispels a child's pest
The hot springs to bask and bath
In her smile is the fullness of the moon
Witty, wet and warm
It's capable of turning bright a child's pale mood
It offers hope in the face of gathered storm
And strengthens a faint faith in the tomorrow
That the rainbow is just about the elbow
She's my mother she's your mother, she's a mother!
