Mother's Day (Dear Mother) Poem by JAMES T. ADAIR

Mother's Day (Dear Mother)

Rating: 4.2

Mother, you receive little acclaim
for all your work, struggle and strain
You had to do so much, it's a shame
instead of pursuing your own fortune and fame

I want you to know this Mother's Day
That you have been so wonderful
in your own special way
with love and kindness you always display

You've given me the gift of life
and tried to shield me from sadness and strife
I just want you to know when I see your caring eyes
I'm always reminded and realize

How lucky I am to have you as my Mother
and I want you to know I never wished for another
Thank you for all you've done and do
A most beautiful Mother's Day I wish for you!
