Motherland Poem by Abdul Wahab

Motherland

The women who you call your mother
She is not necessarily the same for me
I am her faithful brother -in- law
So by the relation i am your lovely uncle
And you are my cute nephew
Please, don't ask me to worship her.

The land on which you are born
That place is the land i also come from
Your birthplace is a deity to you
But to me it is a dear motherland
So, please, don't ask me to fall at her feet.
