Motionless Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Motionless
Monday,27th October 2020

I remained motionless
and faced unrest
at the note about paying some amount
for publishing the poem in the anthology

there are many ways
to support the cause and stay
in the limelight
and project it in the right manner

what shall one have poor impression?
when you are coming with some consideration
and we term it as prejudicial
for all individual poets

for paying a fixed amount
We shall maintain no quality
and it shall go for cheap publicity
that is not considered good for the literary field

we have one terrible and poor quality
we don't read others' poetry
we go on praising self and friends
and thus bring an end to qualitative literature
