Move On, Press On Poem by Paul Sebastian

Move On, Press On

Rating: 5.0

When the uphill climb is difficult
And your legs strain and buckle
When your body is battered
And your spirit is shattered
Stay focused on your dream
And move on, press on!

When close friends abandon you
Because you’ve taken a path that’s new
When friends whisper negatives to discourage
And advice on how you should cross the bridge
When confused and have none to turn to
And fear and insecurity set in to shackle you
Rise up, and stay focused on your dream!
Move on, press on!

When your resources are limited
Constraints make you frustrated
When commitments knock on your door
Feel pressed and wished you had more
Despair creeps in, sapping your energy and endurance
Take courage! Remember you’re a person of substance
Hold on to your dream and press on!

Let go of your past failures and pain
Lessons well learned, wisdom gained
You have gone through the seven seas
Seasoned and determined, put up your sails,
Chart your course towards success
Captain your success ship on course!
Hold fast to the image you see
The person you will be
And Move on, press on!

Plant seeds of success thoughts
Weed out negativity and whatnot
Cultivate in your mind garden, positivity
Paving the way for attracting prosperity
Towering self-esteem, soaring self-confidence
Walking tall, with glowing exuberance
Pressing on, thick-skinned and failure shy
Reaching beyond the limits of the sky!
Steadfastly staying focused on your dream:
Rewards of triumph and success gleam!

Such a lovely and inspiring poem. When life is tough, when we are bombarded with all sorts of negative news, when the atmosphere is charged with news of terror, news of war and news of violence, poem like this comes as fresh air breathing life to body and mind. Thanks for sharing.
