I love chapati in all its makes,
Be it nicknamed, “nylon”, “Leopard’s skin”, or mere “chapo”,
It tastes the same and ingredients likewise.
Bake it with whatever flour, it is called chapati.
That enticing, tasty and salivative mum’s chapati,
It is an ever sweet chapati of ages.
Christen it Christmas chapati,
It is as lovely and sweet as ever.
Served with beef, mutton, pork or cowpeas,
The same old model mum’s chapati tastes the same.
How I love that aged mum’s chapati.
In her old age, mum bakes the same way.
Salted, it is chapati. Sugared, it is chapati.
Wow! That sweet tasting mum’s chapati.
