Heart beats on in endless song
Crying out for joy

Love
One word
Meaning lost
Voices lost
Unspoken
Broken

So much could be fixed by just one word
If it only had a meaning

But importance lost with repetition

Time and time again

No more weight behind that word

Then how do I say how I feel?
How do I let you know?

That for a moment of your joy,
I would pay my own damnation.

Would a poem let you know?
Or only seem as hollow,
As the words it tries to mimic?

And how do I know,
If you feel the way I do?

When all you show is one word
Another countless time.

I don’t need much to quench my fear.
Just let me know you are sincere,
When you say
I love you.
