Music Poem by Selina Gurgacz

Music

Rating: 5.0

Music,
Sweet music.
Music to my ears,
For me alone to hear.
Everything is music to me.

The sweet melodies from the chirping birds.
The meows of cats, and their purrs.
The barks of dogs, and their howls.
Cars speeding past on the highway or on the road.
The roar of the trains as they sail past on the tracks.

The laughter and chatter among friends during breaks.
The teachers voices as they teach us new things.
The sounds of pens, pencils and rubbers making contact with paper.
The clatter of keys from calculators and computers.
The sounds of students asking questions, and whinging and complaining about too much homework.
The sounds of the bell and the scraope of chairs at the end of the lesson.
The sound of keys, lockers being opened, and chatter, as students pack their bags and head home.

Music,
Sweet music.
Music to my ears,
For me alone to hear.
Everything is music to me.
