Muted Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Muted

So terrible and awful it is.
What the people are hearing.
And made to believe.
By those media thirsting liberals.
Attempting to discredit,
Such an outstanding, caring.
And humanity serving human being.
These unrelenting and sweeping allegations,
Should not be allowed to be heard at all.
Especially to claim,
Treason, betrayal and crimes of corruption...
With a lawlessness,
Committed to disobey long established rules.
This is preposterous, appalling.
And totally unacceptable.

"I agree.
I'm with you.
The handcuffs the authorities are using,
In my opinion is unnecessary.
I will mute the sound on the TV.
As to not interfere,
With the reality and truth of it.
Since many like you who are witnessing,
This clearly to view.
In complete disbelief.
To shock and display this way.
Wishing to want,
Their delusions to defend...
Kept forever pretended.
I imagine are brought to tears."
