My Angel's Lullaby Poem by Minerva Agriam

I heard you singing a lullaby,
I heard the lullaby coming from the sky.

I heard the birds singing sweetly,
Their voices blending with yours so sweetly.

Maybe the birds curled up on their nests,
Sweetly napping smiling at you.

Ah! the sky above is clear,
Dotted with white cottony clouds.

Seeming to tell me to sing with you,
Your lullaby lost in the twirling winds.

I saw a little rainbow fading,
Upon the leaves around here.

Growing upon this white place,
So awesomely silent, so quiet.

Your name is neatly embedded
Upon a marbled block.

Seeming to take me five hundred miles above
The white clouds in the sky.

Sweetly falling are the tears,
Seeing you sleeping for eternity.

I heard my heart lamented,
Pain & sadness are not the right words.

Your sweet lullabies are my lasting memory,
Sweet are they, so placid.

They are the sugar I had tasted,
Sweetly bitter with pangs of regret.

Your memories are so swift,
Just like a white dot.

Passing so clearly like the winds,
I regretted not holding them.

Forever your sweet memories
Will be sang by the Angels.

Singing with such sweet voices,
Making me remember you clearly.

Now I can see the sky above
Is softly crowded with gloomy clouds.

Then I heard the rain pouring,
Muffling the lullaby I mostly love to hear.

Sweet are the tears falling for you,
Sleeping so dearly underneath my feet.

The earth has swallowed your substance,
Your essence flowed within me.

I wont get weary reaching for you,
Until you become part of me.

And forever your lullaby will stay
Not just here but for eternity.

I may not learn to sing like you,
But your lullaby will stay with me.

Encouraging me to go on,
Inspiring me to sing along with life.

Ah! Life is so beautiful with you,
My Angel's lullaby by my side.

Nothing can stop me from loving you,
My Angel's lullaby that soothes.

Every little creature on this earth
Sway with graceful gait with your song.

My Angel's lullaby so sweet,
Dearly giving me my rest.

I will forever remember you
My Angel's lullaby so sweet.
