My Baby Boy Poem by Jorelyn Leonard

My Baby Boy

Rating: 4.0

Small and warm across the chest
He has closed his eyes to have a rest
You pull him closer just to see
Your heart squeezes with so much glee

His peaceful face, button nose
Chubby fingers and cute toes
You take it in as you rock
As time goes by on the clock

When he starts to wriggle and wake
You suddenly realize your mistake
He has slept away in your arms
But that is just one of his charms

The housework can sit and wait
It can be put off at a later date
He will grow up so fast
Let the warmth of the cuddle last
