Outing Poem by Jorelyn Leonard

Outing

These children can run so very far away
Trampling the soft green grass with their tiny feet
Their boundless energy is endless today
As we fly past every possible seat
The children are jumping and happy to play
I roll out the picnic blanket to rest and eat
They munch with delight when they see the tasty spread
Up and leaping to play games once they are fed

Another lovely poem about motherhood! I shared your poems with a friend who has a newborn (in addition to 2 others) and she loved your poems. Keep writing! :)
