My Beautiful Flower

seed within me

my sweet little seed

how i love thee

oh sprouting to seedling

what a beauty thou art

how amazing to me

so warm so fragile so gentle

my sweat for thee is not in vain

i love to see thee grow

i will water and weed

protect and treat

not a tree, but my beautiful flower

i wait for that special day

to share thee with the whole world

to see the day thou shalt bloom

i long to live to see

to will to give, to let go

to guide thee in finding thy path, all because i love thee

Poem of the Day

poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

I heard the bells on Christmas day
Their old familiar carols play,
And wild and sweet the words repeat
Of peace on earth, good will to men.
