My Best Friend
A little back ground, so you all can understand this poem, and where it’s coming from. Just last week, I had to put my dog down, he was my best friend in the world. I had him for 13 out of my 17 years of life. I love him with all my heart. And this is for him. My best friend

You were 1 and I was 5
Threw the next 13 years
You where there by my side
Day by day
You never let me down
Those times you made a mess
I no ill never forget
However threw everything
I miss you
I love you
And will always
Tyler, your words are written with honesty and great devotion. I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your beloved dog. I just can't imagine how I'll feel when my Ella dies - devastated, I'm sure. Just a small note about your spelling in this poem - 'threw' should be spelled 'through' and 'I no I'll never forget' should read 'I know I'll never forget.' I don't mean to be picky, but correct spelling makes it easier for the reader to understand. A heart-felt poem. Love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Hi Tyler, I liked this poem very much... I could feel your pain... for I to had to do the same with my cat... It totally broke my heart.. It is One of the hardest thing someone has to do is to put a loyal friend (your beloved pet) to sleep. I think this poem deserves a 10! ! ! Katherine
