My Dream Poem by Nikita Jawahar

Today I had a dream,
A dream which would be more beautiful, if it really happens.
People say don't let go of your dreams,
With that thought running wildly in my mind,
Here is what happened,
The presence of the Holy One
Filled the angry sky
For those who really know the truth
One need not question why.
All the people on Earth were praising the Almighty,
And when he was about to leave, I ran to him,
And asked, " Lord I need my daddy back."
The Lord replied "come with me, and take him."
I caught the Almighty's leg and flew to the heaven.

I was amazed to see the beauty of the Heaven,
Then as I moved in, I saw a cute face,
The face that I had seen from when I was a kid,
The face that I longed to see,
The face of my ever loving dad.

I ran to him and told, "Dad I have come for you."
But he did not realize me,
I felt broken and I began to cry,
Shattered of the thought that my loving dad forgot me.
Just then did God snap his fingers…
My dad realized me,
He called me and hugged me,
I felt all the more happy,
Then I begged the Lord's permission to take my dad home,
He granted my wish.

Then came the most interesting part,
I brought my dad home,
My mom and my brother were surprised and happy too,
The best gift that I could give them is to get my dad back,
Then we danced and sang to praise the Lord.

Suddenly I heard the alarm ring,
I got up happily and searched for my dad,
But couldn't find him,
Only then did I realize that the whole thing was a dream,
But this dream was different and it made my day special too,
I hope that this dream will come true…
