My Emotional War Poem by Sierra Celeste Cearns

My Emotional War

'Her words have more meaning than she knows,
Lingering between whispers and sighs.
My complexion deepens to that of a rose
And emotions meant to be hidden, soon arise.

Perhaps she will let me stay a while more,
Silhouetted beneath those beautiful lips.
I find myself shaking, and not knowing what for.
Her eyes becoming my solar eclipse.

She distracts me in the darkness, with passion flaring
Shoulder blades smashing, high up against the wall.
Battles with my emotions, wars soon worth declaring.
A moments worth of chaos, knees buckled for the fall.'
