My Father Poem by misha deblair

My Father

It's miserable to feel so torn, In this place every soul seems lost, Broken faces, Death contemplaters, I too am on the fence, But no the devil will not win, Looking towards the cross, I feel my spirit lift off the floor, My blood visions are cleansed, No longer will demons creep it's the end, Alone when I awake in the night, Angels are standing by my side, No more will creatures explore, At the end of my bed, Seeking to rip off my head, Jesus knows the depth of my soul, Like no other He is my Father, The only one who has stayed by my side, Knowing the pains i've endured in my life, He'll never betray me over lust and greed, Like all those before Him many tears of deceit, For a long time I was just a dollar sign, But my Father always cared more, He shed His blood to be my savior, Through Him i feel secure, Unlike anything in this world, I will praise Him until I can't speak a word, And even then in my heart i'll rejoice, A lifetime of thanks isn't enough, To make up for the beauty he has given to this earth.
